If you’re looking for a cute rom-com with spice, this is the one you need. But just a warning….there are plenty of open door scenes in this one. This is a fun, addictive, laugh out loud read!

The main character, Chandler Cohen, finds herself trapped in a career as a ghostwriter, empathizing deeply with the thought processes of others. She feels like a hopeless ghostwriter, nursing unrequited feelings for her long-time crush, Wyatt. Sharing a home with her highly accomplished PR mogul cousin, who is two years younger but earns double her income, only adds to her discontent. It’s evident that Chandler is far from content with her current life.

Then Chandler attends a book signing for a book she has ghost written, only to have the author NOT recognize her. After all her hard work, she is feeling down so she goes to the bar to drown her sorrows. Fortunately, she crosses paths with an exceptionally nerdy, kind, and charming salesman who happens to be on a work trip. She takes on the role of his tour guide, and their mutual attraction becomes undeniable. Against her usual principles, she decides to engage in a one-night stand with him. However, it turns out to be an utterly disastrous experience, marking her worst encounter. In the aftermath, she opts for a “run of shame,” desperately seeking to escape from his room and erase every moment they shared together.

In the meantime, her agent has arranged for her to meet with Finn Walsh, C List actor who starred in a Supernatural type show. It would be a high paying job with an opportunity to travel and escape her bad love life. When she goes to meet Finn Walsh, she shockingly comes face to face with the very same individual from her disastrous sexual encounter. It appears that he is prepared to put that mishap behind him. In fact, he’s at his wit’s end trying to find the right writer to collaborate with. Chandler represents his last opportunity, as he finds himself stuck and disenchanted with his work in the realm of Hallmark movies. He craves a breakthrough and believes that a new book could offer him a chance to fulfill his true potential.

When she confesses to Finn that their one-night stand was an absolute catastrophe, he extends an intriguing proposition. He explains that he needs to master the art of seduction to avoid repeating the same bedroom blunders. Chandler, somewhat reluctantly, agrees, blurring the line between business and pleasure. Brace yourselves, as things are about to heat up! Prepare to savor their budding, steamy romance!

As they globe-trot to feed Finn’s comic cons and appearances, the spice keeps turning up, the tension cranks to eleven, and this book became my irresistible addiction. If you like cute romance with a healthy side of spice you need this in your life.
