This illustrated book is a fabulous addition to any book babe’s library. I appreciated Perkins’ insight and humor as she describes each book boyfriend, from Jane Austen and Emily Bronte’s heroes of centuries ago, all the way to current favorites written by Emily Henry and Rebecca Yarros. The full page spread giving a brief overview of each boyfriend is helpful if you already know your tropes and types, or if you want a couple jokes about a well known character. Then the full description on the following page is incredible to think more deeply about what makes that book boyfriend so alluring, and might shed some light on the dynamics in the book.
