1. I haven't seen the mini-series on LD yet. My husband and I talked about starting this once I get a little further into this book. I see it is on Starz, which we will add back on to our Hulu subscriptions when we decide to watch it.
2. Yes, this is the first time I am reading it. In High School, I may have read the Spark notes on this.
3. Western isn't a genre I typically like. I have heard so many good things about this book from people I trust. So I really want to give it a try as I was told I wouldn't regret it. I believe it was described to me as "an epic western /romance story" so I am very anxious to get further into this.
