This novel takes place in the exact same timeline as Pretend Your Mine. With that being said, I found this novel a little redundant and boring. Though, you get to know all about their loss and love, there were a lot of chapters that were the exact same because I had already read it. The repetition made me a bit less engaged with the story. I did fall for these two when introduced as side characters in the first book, but man was there a lot of baggage that had to be unloaded and healed in this book.
I gave this novel a 3.5 star-rating. I’m a huge fan of Lucy Score and I have one on my shelf waiting to be read. But, this second book in the series was just not anywhere near as fantastic as the first one.
