If you liked Pieces of Her by Slaughter, you would really like this one. In my opinion, this book is far better than the first and could be read as a stand-alone.
This book starts out years later, after Andrea has joined the US Marshals. So right away, her character has changed & become stronger. Right after her graduation from becoming a Marshal, she gets put on a case of a murdered girl linked to her father & from his hometown. Nearly forty years later, Andrea gets pulled into the mystery of Emily Vaughn, a 17 year old pregnant girl who was murdered on her prom night.
The mystery in this one grabbed me right away. I also liked how it explored the relationship between her and Mike from the first book. The character development in this book was so well done. I listened to this on audio & found myself sitting in my car just to hear more. I hope this one goes to Netflix also. This was far better than the first. I liked Andrea as a character more.
