Truthfully the beginning of this book drove me crazy! Not in the best way. I wasn’t happy about the GIANT cast of characters that I had to keep track of. The fact that there were so many main characters and side plots really slowed the pace of the book for the first three quarters of the novel. I also felt that one of the characters thoughts and actions described in detail in the novel weren’t consistent with what she would have really been thinking and doing at the time her actions come to light later in the book. This is a big problem that greatly affected my enjoyment of this book. The nice, very well written climax and resolution of the book saved what would have been a clunker of a book.
I gave this novel a three star rating. By the time the climax of the book hit, it was great. My hart was pumping and the adrenaline was flowing it was so exciting. But in the end there were just too many people, too much happening and a bogged down plot that kept me from rating this book any higher.
