Home for the Homicides was such a fun holiday crime novel that is definitely NOT meant to be taken too seriously! Welcome to Christmas—a ridiculously festive town where it’s basically Christmas all year long and crime is practically nonexistent. That is, until a tourist is found murdered in the town nativity scene…stabbed with an icicle.… Continue reading Home for the Homicides by Elle Cosimano & Hannah Morrissey
Not Good Neighbors was a light, cute rom-com that kept me entertained! I’m always up for a good neighbors-to-enemies-to-lovers situation, and the ridiculously thin apartment wall, prank wars, and forced proximity made for a fun setup. It did take me a little while to fully settle into the story, but once I did, the pace… Continue reading Not Good Neighbors by Violet Lumani
Rules for the Summer was everything I expect from a Meghan Quinn romance—funny, flirty, and impossible to put down! I listened to the audiobook and flew through it thanks to the engaging story and excellent duet narration. Theo and Renley's chemistry was fantastic, the banter had me laughing, and the spice definitely delivered (as Meghan… Continue reading Rules for the Summer by Meghan Quinn
I don't even know where to start with Reality Bites because I LOVED this book! This was such a witty, funny, feel-good read that had me laughing out loud from beginning to end. The characters felt so real and vivid that I found myself mentally casting them the entire time. In my head, Grace was… Continue reading Reality Bites by Amy Mass

I know why I waited so long to read Shield of Sparrows... but WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?! Oh right—because this is a trilogy, and I was trying to pace myself. Unfortunately, that plan completely failed because this ended up being one of my top reads of the year! The fantasy and romance combination… Continue reading Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry
Neuroscientist Dr. Frances Silberstein has success on the brain. As a grad student, she was offered a job by her brilliant boyfriend, but determined to make it on her own, she turned it—and him—down. Now, stuck in postdoc purgatory with no job security and no personal life to speak of, Frances is desperate to make… Continue reading Love and Other Brain Experiments by Hannah Brohm
Sophie Kim’s The Winged Game is basically what you’d get if you mixed an adult version of Harry Potter with Fourth Wing — but made it an intense extreme fantasy sports story. And honestly? It works. This book follows Taissa Cho, a disgraced former star of Carriwitchet, a brutal rugby-esque sport played on top of… Continue reading The Winged Game by Sophie Kim
Engineer Trishara Malik once dreamed of being the first woman of color to smash the glass ceiling at WMC Purcell, but after years of dealing with white male privilege and blatant nepotism, she watches her hard-earned promotion go to her nemesis, Rafe Gallagher—the boss’s son. Teetering on the edge of burnout, Tris is stunned when… Continue reading Not Safe for Work by Nisha J Tuli
Grumpy Mother Pucker by Sarah Smith surprised me in the best way possible! I expected this to lean a little more immature because of the college setting, but the writing felt much more mature and emotionally grounded than I anticipated, which made it such a fun and engaging read for even an experienced romance reader.… Continue reading Grumpy Mother Pucker by Sarah Smith
