If your looking for a cute closed door romance this is the one to read this summer. This is a second chances romance that I adored.

Ali Morris was close with her mother and when she passed away she really lost her best friend and confidant. Ali’s husband was nice, but not really supportive. So when he decided he wanted a divorce, Ali’s feelings weren’t really hurt too bad. She was more sad that she lost her mother. But she decides it’s time to put on pants with a zipper, since it’s been more than two years since she has. She puts a pair of overalls on and counts it as a win and heads to the dog park.

At the dog park, her dog decides to shower (literally shower with pee) Ethan with affection. She instantly is attracted to Ethan but they only make small talk. Then they start to talk more and more and it turns into a summer fling. Ethan is also known as Scooter…her good friend’s brother.

They start texting and calling back and forth and a “summer romance” ensues. But will this just be a summer romance or can this last longer? Or is it that Ethan is her friend’s bother and forbidden making or want him more?

This one was so charming and cute and I just cared so much about what happened to these characters. I highly recommend this one for anyone wanting a cute pick me up type of story that will make you go “AHHH” so hard! I loved the second chance aspect of this as well where it wasn’t a twenty-something falling in love. This was a hopeful story that made me happy!
