“She didn’t know how to be semi-interested in something. She was either indifferent . . . or obsessed.”

This novel follows Stella and Michael. Stella is an autistic econometrician unable to form relationships and under pressure from her mom to start a family, hires a male escort to teach her how to “be good at sex” so she knows how to attract and keep a man. She doesn’t like to be touched, so this challenge is no joke. Much like Pretty Woman in reverse, the escort Stella hires is hot and fun, and most importantly, kind. Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he’s making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense.

I LOVED this book! I smashed it in under a day! I was first blown away at the smut, since I went into this blind but quickly fell in love with Michael. As it always happens with romance novels, I did lose a little interest once the hottest part was over, and the inevitable dramatic breakup started unfolding. But between the cuteness, the math, the fake dating trope done flawlessly, the steamy sweet moments, and the fantastic focus on consent… I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this book!

I gave this novel a 4.5 star-rating. I devoured every sweet, smutty page of this story. While I am not blind to this romance’s flaws, I simply love it. It was almost a 5-star for me, but the realistic side of me had to knock it down a bit because, let’s be honest, no matter how much I want a Michael Larsen in my life, I just don’t believe he is out there.
