“I only knew you for twenty-four hours, but I’ve never missed anyone so much.”

Sadie knows that civil engineers are supposed to build bridges. However, as a woman of STEM she also understands that variables can change, and when you are stuck for hours in a tiny New York elevator with the man who broke your heart, you earn the right to burn that brawny, blond bridge to the ground. Erik can apologize all he wants, and Sadie can’t help but wonder if there might be more layers to her cold-hearted nemesis than meet the eye. Maybe, possibly, even burned bridges can still be crossed….

Sadie and Erik’s relationship was so entertaining to read about, I loved Sadie as a main character. She has some communication issues, but at least she knows it, and Erik is a fantastic love interest. This was, unsurprisingly, an absolute delight. Sadie and Erik’s chemistry leapt off the page and even though this was just a novella, I fully believed in their feelings for one another and I desperately need more.

I gave this novella a four star-rating. I loved the forced proximity in this one. It forces conversations that can drag on in other novels. You just get right down to business and get everything that you are wanting for these two right away. I also liked how Mara and Liam (Under One Roof) make an appearance.
