“Everything’s a game. Avery Grambs. The only thing we get to decide in life is if we play to win.”

To inherit billions, all Avery Kylie Grambs has to do is survive a few more weeks living in Hawthorne House. The paparazzi are dogging her every step. Financial pressures are building. Danger is a fact of life. And the only thing getting Avery through it all is the Hawthorne brothers. Her life is intertwined with theirs. She knows their secrets and they know her. But as the clock ticks down to the moment when Avery will become the richest teenager on the planet, trouble arrives in the form of a visitor who needs her help, and whose presence in Hawthorne House could change everything. It soon becomes clear that there is one last puzzle to solve, and Avery and the Hawthorne brothers are drawn into a dangerous game against an unknown and powerful player.

I’m actually very happy with how this book didn’t focus heavily on the love triangle and focused a lot more on the mystery aspect. I love how this book was a little darker but still kept the same riddles and mysteries aspect from the first two books. As for the ending I was slightly underwhelmed but I think it wrapped up so nicely so not too many complaints here. It was definitely the best one in the series. Will I be continuing on with the next book? Probably not, but am glad that I finished this series.

I gave this novel four stars. The plot is also great!! This series has such fun mysteries with great plot twists, and this book was no exception! I actually loved the mystery in this one and even though some of it went a bit over my head, seeing the characters figure out all the clues and riddles was so fun! I do with she would have ended up with the other brother.
