If I’m being honest it was the cover that made me want to read this! That and the fact that is it the prequel to her next book Five Brothers that I want to read. I never thought this was a female/female book since I assumed Clay was guy. I have nothing against male/male or female/female but for some reason, I have always avoided it. Perhaps because I do not relate. Regardless, I did end up enjoying this book. Women are not superheroes. They break, they feel, they hurt, they cry. And it is through that they become strong. Just because they are women doesn’t mean they can deal with every hardship, every obstacle with a smile.
I rated this novel four stars. I had to reduce one star because there was too much bully drama. I have never read a bully romance, but I couldn’t get over how drastic the bullying actually was. But in the end, Douglas always writes the best.
