This book is the epic sequel to Colleen Hoover’s novel, It Ends With Us. The story immediately picks up where the original story left off. Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.
I absolutely LOVED this book! I was so excited to read more about Lily and Atlas. I was rooting for them the entire time throughout the first book. I loved how she switched between the perspectives of Lily and Atlas. Hoover strikes a fine and relatable balance of tension and hope throughout the chapters.
I gave this book a big five-star rating! It was PERFECTION to me. Honestly everything I was wanting and more. It was a beautiful story of how they found their way to back to each other so naturally. The way their story evolved, and their characters evolved, was so beautifully written. I highly recommend this book.
I was hesitant to pick this book up because I loved the first one and I was worried that this one wouldn’t measure up. BUUUUT….this one was just as great! I loved this one also. I agree with Mel’s opinion on this book. This was a 5 star read and this series is one of Hoover’s best. I love Atlas as a character and loved getting back to Lily and Atlas’ story. If you love a love story like we do, and love CoHo, you NEED to read these books!!
