After really enjoying First Time Caller, I was curious to see if the second book in B.K. Borison’s Heartstrings series would surprise me in the same way. Jackson Clark was already an intriguing side character in the first book, so I was especially excited to finally get his story.

Jackson is the quiet, somewhat misunderstood guy who prefers routine and structure—perfect for his job working comfortably from his radio booth as a meteorologist. Delilah Stewart, on the other hand, thrives on spontaneity and adventure as an on-the-ground journalist. When the two are forced to work together to cover the snowstorm of the century, their clashing personalities quickly become part of the story’s charm.

At first, I wasn’t completely sold on Delilah. The narrative frames her as a strong woman, yet her workplace dynamic—where she’s often bullied or treated like a joke by her boss—made her a bit frustrating early on. But as the story progressed, she really started to grow on me, and I appreciated seeing her character develop throughout the book.

Jackson, however, was easy to root for right away. His quiet nature hides a deeply caring heart, especially when it comes to the way he stepped up to take care of his twin sisters. That backstory added so much depth to his character and definitely had me swooning a little.

One of my favorite parts of the story was how both Jackson and Delilah completely nerd out about weather. Their shared passion added a fun and unique element to the romance and made their growing connection feel very natural. And of course, I’m always a sucker for forced proximity, which this book delivers in a way that really lets their relationship build.

This is definitely a romance for readers who enjoy sweet, softer love stories with a little bit of spice. B.K. Borison continues to shine when it comes to writing cozy, feel-good romances, and this one fits right in with that style.

Overall, I was really glad we got Jackson’s story. And Now, Back to You delivers the warm, heartfelt romance that Borison does so well and makes for a charming addition to the Heartstrings series.
