I’ve recently become a Tessa Bailey fan. This book was no exception and I loved everything about it. I was excited that this is book#1 in her Big Shots series. I’m really loving the sport romance genre.

Wells Whitaker is an infamous pro golfer, but lately his game has gone down the drain. He is drinking, breaking clubs, and making a joke of himself. But his biggest fan still shows up every day to cheer him on. Josephine Doyle believed in the gorgeous, grumpy golfer, even when he didn’t believe in himself. No matter how bad he plays, Josephine is always on the sidelines. But then, Wells gives up the game and Josephine has to go home to her shop. And then a hurricane hits.

Wells realizes he might have made a mistake and wonders what happened to the sunny redhead and goes to search for her in the wake of the hurricane. He finds her devastated and her parent’s shop a mess. He offers her a job as his caddy and then the drama unfolds. As they travel together, spending days on the green and nights in hotel rooms, sparks fly. Before long, they’re inseparable. Wells starts winning again, and Josephine (Belle) is surprised to find a sweet, thoughtful guy underneath his gruff, tough exterior.

I loved this book and couldn’t put this one down. I’m a golf fan and enthusiast myself so this was right in my sweet spot. This had everything I love: sports romance, grumpy meets sunshine, forced proximity, and of course the spicey steamy fun! The characters were cute and the plot moved so quick that this was over before I was ready to be done with these characters. The secondary characters were also fun. I highly recommend this one!
