Man of My Dreams is one of those books that I know is going to stick with me for a long time. That constant sense of unease Olivia Worley creates from the very beginning was so well done, and once the twists started coming, I couldn’t stop reading. Every time I thought I had things figured out, the story completely turned everything on its head.
I loved how layered this book was. There was a lot happening, but it never felt confusing or overcomplicated. Everything unfolded naturally, making it easy to follow while still keeping me guessing the entire time. Around the 60% mark, I knew I needed uninterrupted time because there was no way I was putting this book down until I had answers.
And that ending… wow. I genuinely never saw it coming. I’m still not entirely sure whether I’m fully satisfied by it or if I think it was absolutely genius—and honestly, that’s part of what makes this book so memorable. It’s twisty, unsettling, addictive, and definitely stranger than fiction in the best way.
Olivia Worley is absolutely an author I’ll be keeping my eye on after this one.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the addictive eARC in exchange for an honest review.
