“So many memories and secrets, so many burdens. Every life has such weight. I don’t know how anybody carries even one.”

Aiden Bishop knows the rules. Evelyn Hardcastle will die every day until he can identify her killer and break the cycle. But every time the day begins again, Aiden wakes up in the body of a different guest at Blackheath Manor. And some of his hosts are more helpful than others.

This book is HEAVY! And by that, I mean it took a lot of thought to read this. This was a very long and winding story. The author did a fine job of weaving different characters and keeping the tension throughout. I would recommend this to anyone who likes twists and turns with a bit of fantasy sprinkled in. I appreciated the ending and the messaging that was found there about taking each day and making the most of it. And forgiving and leaving our past selves to rest in peace. What a beautiful mess this story was. At times, confusing as heck. Other times, rewarding. In between the time jumps and body shifting, there lies a story worth reading.

I have this novel four stars. It was a breathlessly addictive mystery that follows one man’s race to find a killer, with an astonishing time-turning twist that means nothing and no one are quite what they seem. I was utterly confused for the first half of the book. I couldn’t stop reading. By the end it all came together and definitely surprised me!
