This is one of those books that is and intense emotional roller coaster. I went into this one thinking this book was about something totally different and was surprised to find out it was a rescue mission all along.

Six minutes into Flight 1421 from Honolulu and disaster strikes! The engine explodes, and the plane crashes into the Pacific Ocean. Some passengers try to evacuate and some decide the best course of action is to stay with the plane. So they decide to seal the doors. Now trapped inside, the plane begins to sink. It falls to a depth of over 200 ft and hinges on the edge of a cliff.

Will, an engineer, and his daughter, Shannon, are among the other 10 passengers desperately fighting to stay alive. A rescue team, including Will’s estranged wife, is their best hope of surviving and returning to the surface. On this team is a diver who has a lot at stake. Chris is determined to save Will and Shannon, her husband and daughter. Can they pull off this massive rescue operation before time and oxygen run out? Will all the passengers make it out alive?

This book was so intense. I listened to this on audio and had to speed it up and slow it down multiple times. This was an “edge of your seat” type of book. The characters in this were well developed with great stories and their emotions made the story come to life. The family all working together to survive was heartwarming. The older couple was a great, touching addition also. The plot is so fast moving that your heart will be racing. If you want a great page turner, this is for you.
