This was my first audiobook, so I probably am not the best to be reviewing this. While I found the smut to be a bit weird and odd at times, regardless it was a really cute read. Now to my thoughts, this was ok. Nothing special especially since it’s a novella, but if you loved any of Hazelwood’s books then you’ll love this plus it’s only 4hrs. I will say I’m not the biggest fan of audiobooks by themselves because it’s hard for me to focus (which is on me) so I didn’t get “hooked” until half way through. The smut was okayish. Some scenes were steamy but again it kind of felt YA. The constant “is this okay?” were a bit eye rolling. Not to mention when I woman narrate the man’s voice while they are getting it on…. yeah, didn’t do it for me.
I rated this novella three stars. It was a good palette cleanser if you’re looking for vibes and a cute, angsty romance between two gaming programmers.
