This is a novella that is only 40 pages so I’m glad it was short. I will try to be brief with my review since I didn’t really like this as much as I expected to. I have liked other books by Guillory so I had higher hopes.

This is about 2 characters trapped in a bakery on Valentine’s day. This takes place all in one scene and I just didn’t find it believable that the MC was in love with Daisy the whole time, especially since he was so rude to her. She walks by his bakery all the time and stops in occasionally for a treat. Then on Valentine’s day, she stops in to find out he has a special bag of goodies reserved for her and an Earthquake happens while she is there and they are trapped there. This one was too short for things to progress so quickly. One minute she is questioning his feelings because, frankly he was so rude to her, then the next he is taking her upstairs because he is so overcome with his feelings. I just didn’t buy it. This maybe could have been better if it was longer, but I just didn’t care about either of the characters very much. I did love the bakery setting though.
