This journal is designed to be flexible, fun, and completely yours. Print it, personalize it, and rearrange the pages however your creative spirit sees fit.
There are a few easy ways to use it:
- I print mine (this year on card stock!) and take it to the UPS Store for inexpensive ring binding (usually under $7).
- Melanie prints hers and uses a classic 3-ring binder.
- For book covers, I use a Canon Ivy printer and Melanie uses an HP Sprocket—use whatever printer works best for you.
I personally skip printing the long review pages in the back and stick to the short reviews only. You’ll notice there are just a few pages included for each section. That’s intentional! Everyone has different reading goals, so you can print exactly the number of pages you’ll need for your year of reading.
How I personally use it (just one idea!):
Each month, I track the books I’ve read and give them a rating. On the page across from that, I use the Monthly Plan section to note my book club picks for the month. The Want to Read section is where I keep a running list of titles I’m excited about.
Some readers love tracking stats, ratings, and monthly wrap-ups—others prefer just logging books and jotting down quick thoughts. Feel free to print only the sections you’ll actually use and skip anything that doesn’t serve your reading life this year. This journal is meant to support your habits, not add pressure.
